I am...
a Colorado artist. I started painting in high school. My art teacher challenged us to choose a famous painting to replicate. I chose "Cafe Terrace" by Van Gogh. I was drawn to his bright colors and short brush strokes. From then on, I was hooked. I continued to replicate other Van Goghs . After college, I started trying my own style and noticed that I was pulled towards bright colors and outlining everything in black. It has evolved from there.
Most of my work is inspired by places I have been. My daily surroundings in Colorado are enough to spark an idea. I also love painting for other people. Many friends and family started sending me photos to paint from. I love taking their memories and turning them into a unique piece of art.
